2015年第3回英検一級の作文

初めて書いたこともあり、読むに耐えない文章ですが、成長記にしたいので書きます。

正直日本語で書いてもわけわからないことしか書けないのに英語で書くとさらに...

"Will fossil fuels such as oil and gas still be the world's main source of energy in the coming decades?"

 Although fossil fuels such as oil and gas play an important role in our society, they are likely to be replaced by another source of energy in the coming decades for following reasons.

  Firstly, since people have used a lot of energy by burning fossil fuels, the amounts of oil and gas have dramatically decreased. It is estimated that people will run out of them in decades, which obviously means that future generations will be unable to depend on them as the main source of energy.

 Secondly, burning fossil fuels have a great impact on our environment. For example, when energy companies gain fossil fuels, they exploit and pollute natural environment. In addition,  generating energy by burning them emits a huge amount of CO2, which contributes to global warming. In order to preserve our environment,  scientists will try harder to discover how to make more use of renewable energies, which is considered environmentally friendly.

 Thirdly, the improvement of technology will invent something which mainly use other energy sources like electric cars. When engines generate energy from fossil fuels, about 70% of generared energy are wasted. To improve their efficiency, science and technology will spend a lot of money on studies related to it.

  Therefore, I strongly believe that fossil fuels will not be the main energy source in the coming decades.

この拙い文章に時間は35分ほどかかりました。書きやすいテーマにもかかわらず、遅くて雑な文しか書けないので修行がたりないです。

ただこの分量を書ききることはできたのでそこは評価したいです。昔は絶対こんなに書けなかった...笑

これまで受験勉強で書いた自由英作文ではミスのない文をかけ！と強く言われてきたので書ける文が恐ろしく少なく、また幼稚な表現を脱することができませんでした。

それと比べると今回は割と伸び伸びと書くことができ少し楽しかったです。

考え方や表現に大きく改善の余地があるので、雪さんのブログを勝手に参考にしながら書いていきたいと思います。
